OVERVIEW
Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is the most common heart rhythm disorder. An estimated 2.3 million people in the United States have AF. About 160,000 new cases are diagnosed every year. Eight out of every 100 people over the age of 65 are diagnosed with AF. Although it usually occurs in adults older than 60, younger adults can develop it too (hrs.org).
