Dr. Silverman received his medical school education at the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, graduating in 1985. Following medical school he was an Intern and Resident in Internal Medicine at the same hospital. Additionally, he was a Research Fellow in Cardiology at University Dijkzigt Hospital, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, Netherlands. Dr. Silverman completed a two year Cardiology Fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois and a one year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at that same medical center.
